Monday's vote was not just a betrayal of Palestine; it was a declaration of war against all those who believe in human dignity. The Security Council has shown us clearly what it is.
The masks have finally fallen. On November 17, 2025, the UN Security Council committed what appears to be one of the most outrageous acts of institutional betrayal in human history. By a vote of 13 to 0, with two abstentions, the body created to prevent genocide officially handed control of the survivors of Gaza—including tens of thousands of orphaned children—to the exterminators.
This has nothing to do with diplomacy. Nor with compromise. This is the global elite's final solution to the Palestinian problem: to transform the victims of genocide into slaves of their executioners.
The resolution presented as the "peace plan Donald Trump's policy overturns all the principles meant to govern international law. It places Gaza under the control of a "Peace Council"Led by Donald Trump himself, the same Trump who moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, cut off aid to Palestinian refugees, and gave Netanyahu carte blanche to carry out ethnic cleansing. This council must"coordinate" his initiatives with Israel, the genocidal state, to govern the people he spent two years trying to exterminate.
Read it again carefully. The victims must be disarmed. The perpetrators, however, remain fully armed.
The timing adds to the obscenity. For two years, while Israel perpetrated genocide in Gaza, the Security Council did nothing. Month after month, as the death toll climbed into the hundreds of thousands, as entire families were wiped off the map, as hospitals and schools were pulverized, as Palestinian hostages were raped on camera, as famine was used as a weapon against two million people, the Council took no action. The deliberate, shameless, and repeated use of the US veto ensured institutional impotence in the face of mass slaughter. Resolutions calling for a ceasefire were blocked. Accountability measures were eliminated. Civilians were not protected.
Inaction became the Council's defining characteristic, proof of its ineffectiveness and widespread corruption. And then, finally, after two years of paralysis, after countless appeals from humanitarian organizations and human rights experts, while the International Court of Justice took provisional measures deeming genocide plausible, the Security Council finally acted. But not to stop the genocide. Nor to protect the victims. Nor to hold the perpetrators accountable.
He has them rewarded.
The first substantial measure taken by the Security Council in response to the genocide in Gaza was to entrust control of the survivors to those responsible for their extermination. This is not a failure. It is collaboration.
Perhaps the most revolting detail is hidden among the clauses of this agreement: the fate of the children of Gaza. American bombs dropped by the Israeli army have orphaned tens, even hundreds of thousands of Palestinian children. These traumatized and defenseless children will now be placed under the administrative control of the same caste of predatory billionaires who traveled aboard the "Lolita-Express"by Jeffrey Epstein. The orphans of Gaza are on the verge of becoming human cattle in the global market of suffering controlled by the elite."
Anatomy of a Betrayal
Craig Mokhiber, the former UN human rights chief who resigned in protest against the organization's complicity in the genocide, revealed the extent of this betrayal in a damning analysisHe emphasized that the Security Council not only failed to end the genocide, but also rewarded it. The resolution deprives Palestinians of their right to self-determination, disarms the victims while the perpetrators remain heavily armed, and establishes a colonial administration led by the United States and Israel.
But the most egregious aspect of this betrayal stems less from what the Western powers have done than from what they have failed to do: for we could expect nothing better from the architects of global capitalism and imperialism. The true abomination lies in the inaction of Russia and China. Although they voiced scathing criticisms of the resolution's colonial character and acknowledged its violation of international law, both nations chose to abstain rather than veto it.
This abstention reveals the great deception of our time: the absence of any significant opposition to Western imperialism from the world's major powers. At best, they compete for the right to exploit and oppress. Russia and China, despite their rhetoric of multipolarity and anti-imperialism, ultimately serve the same god their supposed adversaries worship—the god embodying the accumulation of capital and state power.
On Monday, the global elite demonstrated its unity. When faced with a choice between Palestinian children and geopolitical interests, all the major powers chose their own interests. They may compete for markets and resources, but they are wholeheartedly committed to maintaining a world order where wealth and power place them above the law, ethics, and human decency.
This is why the extermination of Palestine has always been a global project. What we are witnessing, as I have already written, is not just a genocide perpetrated by Israel, This is a global genocide against the Palestinians., perpetrated by all actors in the imperialist power structure.
This betrayal shatters the illusion at the heart of so many progressive movements of the last decade: the conviction that we are witnessing a struggle between nations rather than between classes. We placed our hopes in the BRICS, the countries of the Global South, and the emergence of a multipolar world capable of challenging Western hegemony.
Monday's vote revealed the pathetic naiveté of this worldview. There is no significant difference between Western billionaires and those of the Global South, between American and Russian war criminals. They are all members of the same global elite, and when their fundamental interests are threatened, they close ranks against the rest of humanity.
The Palestinian cause has revealed the moral bankruptcy of the world's powerful. It exposes their deceit and forces every government, every institution, every leader to choose between justice and complicity. Monday's vote was the ultimate test, and all the major powers failed miserably.
Russia and China had the power to end this atrocity with a simple veto. But they chose to prioritize negotiations with the United States on Ukraine and trade agreements over the lives of Palestinian children.
The Epstein connection
US control of Gaza has terrifying implications for anyone with a shred of conscience. The same class of predatory billionaires who facilitated and participated in Jeffrey Epstein's child trafficking ring will now wield administrative authority over tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of orphaned Palestinian children.
This is neither an exaggeration nor a conspiracy theory, but the logical consequence of the control of vulnerable children by a system that systematically elevates sexual predators to the highest spheres of power. The psychological predispositions that allow billionaires to destroy entire economies for profit The psychological predispositions that lead billionaires to destroy entire economies for their own profit — total lack of empathy, total dehumanization of others, limitless cruelty in the service of their personal pleasure — are also those that lead to sexual predation on children.
Above, the young Palestinian woman Ahed Tamimi is harassed by Israeli soldiers. Tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of Palestinian orphans will now be handed over to their aggressors, while the UN gives the green light to the United States and Israel to take control of the population of Gaza.
Epstein's network was not an aberration of the capitalist system, but its most perfect _expression_. The men who raped children on his island were simultaneously plundering entire economies through their financial mechanisms. The same capacity for dehumanization that leads them to perceive children as sexual commodities also drives them to treat workers as disposable resources and the general population as acceptable collateral damage in their pursuit of profit.
Today, these predators or their ideological heirs will control the lives and destinies of Gaza's most vulnerable children. The "stabilizing force"that they plan to deploy will not be an instrument of peacekeeping, but a means of exploiting, trafficking and consuming the survivors of the genocide.
"In his resignation letter in 2023, Craig Mokhiber warned of the UN's complicity in the genocide through its inaction. Monday's vote proved that this complicity has turned into active participation."
The death rattle of the United Nations
Monday's resolution marks the effective death of the UN, which has become an instrument of oppression serving the elites. For 80 years, the UN always claimed to serve humanity's highest aspirations. That claim has just died in Gaza, a victim of the very same powers that have relentlessly attacked Palestinian children for two years.
The organization, meant to prevent another Holocaust, has now officially endorsed an ongoing genocide. The body that claims to uphold international law has openly violated all principles of human rights and self-determination. The institution that claims to protect the most vulnerable has delivered children into the hands of their predators.
This failure is not about reform, but about the system itself. The UN has finally revealed its true intentions: to legitimize atrocities rather than combat them, provided they serve the interests of the elites. It does not protect the most vulnerable, but delivers them to their oppressors. It is not concerned with upholding justice, but with providing a legal framework for the most heinous crimes.
In his 2023 resignation letter, Craig Mokhiber warned of the UN's complicity in the genocide through its inaction. Monday's vote proved that this complicity has turned into active participation. The Security Council has not only failed to stop the genocide, it has become an instrument of genocide, using its supposed authority to reward perpetrators and persecute victims.
The deceptive myth of the opposition
The tragedy of Monday's vote is not limited to its consequences for the Palestinians, even though that should be enough to spark global outrage and mobilization. The greatest tragedy reveals the utter absence of any meaningful opposition to the scourges that are destroying our world.
For years, millions of people placed their hopes on the rise of the BRICS countries or on the challenge that Russia and the countries of the Global South might pose to Western hegemony. We became convinced that, somewhere, powerful forces were working towards justice, human rights, and the dignity of oppressed peoples.
Monday's vote shattered that illusion forever. When the time came to choose between Palestinian children and their own commercial interests, all the major powers chose their own interests. Faced with the ultimate test of their supposed principles, they all revealed the lack of any real foundation for those principles. Faced with the ultimate test of their claimed principles, they finally revealed their purely propagandistic nature.
Let's not talk about the failure of diplomacy or the bankruptcy of international law. Their failure reveals a fundamental truth—the "International community"The"global governance and the "international law" These are pure fiction. There is only a global ruling class that temporarily exercises its power and perpetually conspires against humanity.
Things to do
If Monday's betrayal teaches us anything, it's that salvation will not come from above. No government, no international organization, no global institution will save us from the powers that are destroying our world. The same class interests that led the Security Council to hand over Palestinian children to their executioners also contribute to the climate crisis, the wealth inequality that condemns billions to poverty, and the military-industrial complex that profits from perpetual wars.
The alternative is not between American imperialism and Southern socialism, between European neoliberalism and the Russian oligarchy, but between the global ruling class and the rest of humanity. Between those who reduce others to mere commodities and those who believe in the inherent dignity of every individual. Between a system that rewards predators with even more power and a world centered on human cooperation and solidarity.
The Palestinian resistance continues despite the disengagement of all the world's major powers. Their struggle reminds us that true liberation comes not from the powerful, but from the oppressed; not from institutions, but from collective struggles; not from governments, but from the people themselves.
Every child murdered in Gaza, every orphan handed over to the murderers of their parents, every crime of dehumanization endorsed by the United Nations reminds us that this system is incurable and that it is time to dismantle it.
Amid the ruins of Gaza, Palestinian children dream of their homes and schools.
